About BWEN_Wales
Black Women Empowerment Network CIC, also known as BWEN_Wales, exists to empower, connect, and uplift Black women and women from underrepresented communities across Wales.
We create access to the knowledge, networks, opportunities, and support women need to thrive in business, leadership, employment, enterprise, wellbeing, and community life.
Rooted in Wales, with a particular focus on Swansea and wider Welsh communities, BWEN_Wales is building a stronger and more inclusive Wales where Black women are not left behind, but are supported to lead, build, create, and transform the communities around them.

We envision a future where diversity fuels innovation and economic prosperity throughout Wales and beyond. A future where the contributions, leadership, and brilliance of Black women are not only recognised but actively sought after and valued. We’re building a Wales where every Black woman has the support, resources, and opportunities needed to achieve her fullest potential.
What We Do:
BWEN_Wales delivers community-led programmes, events, workshops, mentoring opportunities, enterprise support, digital skills training, networking spaces, wellbeing initiatives, and collaborative projects.
Our work is designed to meet women where they are — whether they are starting a business, rebuilding confidence, seeking employment, developing leadership skills, learning digital tools, or looking for a safe and supportive community where they feel seen, valued, and encouraged.
Our Evolution
Originally founded as the Black Women Entrepreneurs Network, we recognised that true empowerment extends far beyond business success. Our transformation into the Black Women Empowerment Network reflects our commitment to supporting Black women holistically, addressing the interconnected aspects of wellbeing, social integration, entrepreneurial growth, and career advancement.

Meet Lizah
Lizah is a skillful communications professional with over 9 years of experience leading public relations campaigns for organisations across diverse industries. With a proven track record of crafting compelling narratives and engaging audiences through digital, email, and social media platforms, Lizah has established herself as a visionary leader in the communications field.
In addition to her professional achievements, Lizah has coached and trained over 1,000 individuals through various inspirational programs she organised or co-organised, empowering people to unlock their potential.
As a dedicated mentor, Lizah guides young people in discovering their purpose and honing their talents. She also leads the 'Growth Hack Community,' a platform providing resources for personal & career development.
Recently, Lizah launched a 30-day Social Media Visibility Challenge, designed to help young people cultivate consistency, boost their confidence, and connect with others who can benefit from their ideas, products, and services. Known for her adaptability and ability to stay ahead of industry trends, Lizah continues to make a significant impact in both professional and personal development spaces.
