A future where the contributions, leadership, and brilliance of Black women are not only recognised but actively sought after and valued. We’re building a Wales where every Black woman has the support, resources, and opportunities needed to achieve her fullest potential.

What We Do:

BWEN_Wales operates across four fundamental pillars:

  • Wellbeing Support: We prioritise the mental, physical, and emotional health of Black women, providing resources, workshops, and safe spaces that promote self-care and personal growth. Understanding that wellbeing is the foundation of all success, we create environments where women can thrive authentically.

  • Social Integration: We foster meaningful connections and build bridges within communities across Wales. Through networking events, cultural celebrations, and collaborative initiatives, we create spaces where Black women can connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships that enrich both personal and professional lives.

  • Entrepreneurial Development: We nurture Black female-owned businesses from conception to expansion, providing mentorship, business development resources, and access to funding opportunities. Our entrepreneurial support helps transform innovative ideas into thriving ventures that contribute to Wales’ economic landscape.

Our Evolution

Originally founded as the Black Women Entrepreneurs Network, we recognised that true empowerment extends far beyond business success. Our transformation into the Black Women Empowerment Network reflects our commitment to supporting Black women holistically, addressing the interconnected aspects of wellbeing, social integration, entrepreneurial growth, and career advancement.
